The first thing that jumped right out at me was the fact that online advertising appears to be nearly indestructible. By this I mean that the revenue only fell 3% in 2009. With all of the ways that are given to us, the consumers, to avoid advertising it is pretty incredible that online advertising is fairing this well.
Basically, this whole story is about how marketers for companies decide how to make their advertising better for online. The development of "triple play"appears to be a highly sought after thing.
Some of the reading was actually kind of confusing to understand. I had to read and re-read a few parts multiple times to attempt and fully grasp what it was saying. After reading each section and then looking at the graphs displayed, it was very helpful. It allowed me to take the words and put them in picture form, which makes it easier for most people, myself included, to understand just what is going on exactly.
Overall, it was a interesting article. I do tend to agree that online advertising is definitely in need of a format. If advertisers want to continue to be successful with their ads, they will have to try and stay a step ahead of technology and all of the attempts to block ads!
